The agriculture department at Fauquier High School is constructing a metal sided post frame structure to serve as a school learning lab for agriculture students.  This facility has been named in the memory of Trip Bopp, a former student and outstanding young farmer.

To date, the department has raised $19,000 towards the first phase of construction. All of the funds go towards purchasing building materials. Students are building the facility.

The department needs to raise $10,000 more to pay for the siding of the facility, the interior, including water, electricity, storage, stalls, and flooring. Additionally, the facility will have a lean-to front for shade and paddocks and a drylot for fitting and showing practice.

The foundation of the Fauquier High School Agriculture Department is hands-on learning experience in all agriculture classes. The proposed facility improvements are needed to ensure that students in agriculture classes have real-world experience with production agriculture as an essential part of their agricultural education. Additionally, the site improvements will provide opportunities for 2nd and 3rd year students to have long term agriculture projects in addition to their classroom experience. Many of Fauquier High School students are suburban students and have limited access to agriculture experiences.
