A Legacy of Learning & Protecting the Bull Run Mountains
Bull Run Mountains Conservancy (BRMC) is celebrating a momentous milestone! For 30 years, we've been dedicated to protecting the beauty and ecological richness of the Bull Run Mountains Region. But our impact goes beyond preservation – for 25 years, our Summer Youth Outdoors Program have fostered a love for the outdoors in countless children, inspiring them to become outdoor enthusiasts for life and the next generation of environmental stewards. Here are some recent comments from our program evaluations:
"My son LOVED this camp every summer years ago when we lived in VA. He’s a Junior at the University of Georgia now studying Fisheries and Wildlife- thank you for such a great program!"
"The naturalist was so knowledgeable, had great stories to make the learning even more fun, and was so encouraging to my daughter who joined the hike and now wants to be a field biologist!"
"Michael was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. Having an experienced naturalist share his knowledge in the field was invaluable. My son and I both learned a lot, and I am signing us up for more homeschool programs with BRMC right now!"
Thanks to your generous support and donations, our Youth Outdoors Programs and mission continue to expand and thrive. BRMC is excited about the future with new programs like our Town & Country Nature Walks™, where we explore the hidden wild spaces within neighborhoods and properties. We're also launching a new Homeschool Program, Treat It or Eat It, an interactive program where students discover the fascinating world of edible and medicinal native and invasive plants in our region. Please consider donating this Give Local Tuesday so we can continue providing exciting and meaningful programs to inspire the youth/adults of today for the conservation of tomorrow.
