About Us

People Incorporated helps economically disadvantaged people improve their lives, families and communities in Culpeper, Fauquier, and Rappahannock counties as their designated Community Action Agency. 

People Incorporated has been in the business of changing lives for over 60 years. Founded in 1964, we offer over 30 services and programs tailored to the communities we serve. Last year, we assisted over 7,500 people in building futures and realizing their dreams through our numerous housing, financial, and community services.

In the Piedmont region, we work with partners to house homeless individuals and provide affordable housing, personal and business loans and free tax prep services. We also advocate on behalf of abused or neglected children in the court system through our CASA program.

This year's donation through Give Local Piedmont will help homeless individuals achieve financial stability, access benefits, find employment, and overcome other barriers to self-sufficiency with permanent supportive housing scattered throughout the Foothills region of Virginia – in Culpeper, Fauquier, and Rappahannock counties.
