NOW is the Moment to Make a Difference!
On May 13, we invite friends of Hospice of the Piedmont to unite in the spirit of generosity and compassion through the Give Local Piedmont Campaign. Your support will create a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients, their families, and our community. ❤ Give TODAY or preschedule your gift for May 12 — because together, we can bring comfort, hope, and peace when it is needed most.
OUR MISSION: To guide life's final journey with expertise and empathy.
YOUR IMPACT: At Hospice of the Piedmont, we’re here to give you and your family the power to decide how you’d like to live in the months before you die. We’re here to care for patients and their families as they navigate serious illness and death and offer grief and bereavement services to the entire community. Our work is only possible thanks to generous community philanthropy.
🙏 GRATITUDE AND VISION: Our team strives daily to deliver on our vision. Everyone, from front-line caregivers to support staff and volunteers, works together – always with the patient and families at the center of our care. Much of the work we do and the difference we make for those we serve is only possible because of generous community philanthropy. Thank YOU for helping us fulfill our vision of transforming the way our community views and experiences serious illness, dying, and grief.
Thank YOU for making a difference with a gift TODAY!
ABOUT: Hospice of the Piedmont (HOP) is a community-based nonprofit providing expert care and peaceful resolution to Virginia families for 45 years. HOP cares for patients with serious illness and their families during the final months of life and offers grief and bereavement services to the entire community. HOP serves residents in Albemarle, Augusta, Buckingham, Culpeper, Fauquier, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, Orange, and Rappahannock counties, as well as the cities of Charlottesville, Waynesboro, and Staunton.
OUR SERVICES include expert hospice and palliative care, Grief and Healing bereavement support through individual counseling sessions and group workshops, and our Kids' Grief and Healing specializing in art therapy programs and camps. Our volunteers help support many aspects of care, including our Doula Program, helping patients and families create an empowered, intentional plan for the final months of life and providing a calming, positive presence. The 11th Hour Vigil Program was built around the vision that no one should have to die on their own. Our volunteers accompany patients who would otherwise be alone during their final hours or those whose families need additional support. Additionally, HOP provides specialized care for veterans facing the end of life, as well as a range of complementary therapies for all patients, such as music, massage, and pet therapy. To meet the needs of our community, all of this is available to anyone in need, thanks to philanthropic support. Learn more about our care and services here.
