Camp Holiday Trails

Established in 1973 and welcoming our first campers in 1974, CAMP HOLIDAY TRAILS is a year-round nonprofit focused on building community with children and teens with medical needs and chronic illnesses.  We engage the entire Mid-Atlantic region. To work towards our vision of engaging more campers with medical needs, and to maximize the safety of our campers and staff, we have innovating and engaging offerings.

CHT Everywhere: Pop-Up Camps – we  take the camp show on the road!  A CHT van/camper will take camp counselors and camp activities to partners throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for short, small group camps in outdoor spaces.  We reach both existing and new campers and bring the CHT spirit to children and teens with medical needs, where they are. 

Our cornerstone programs: CHT Overnight Camps and Family Camps - engage children and teens age 7-17 grant the entire Mid-Atlantic region.  24-7 medical supervision, trained camp counselors, horses, tie-dye, talent shows, campfire and more - all help our campers build confidence, participate therapeutically in nature, develop friendship-making skills and learn to be independent in managing their own healthcare.
